Community brief #CB-02

Congregation Winter Supply Caches

Community building · New Town Baptist Fellowship · 2026-05-27

A supply cache is not hoarding; it is pre-positioned redundancy for when US-85 closes and elders cannot reach town. Effective caches are boring, labeled, and audited quarterly.

Tier-1 items (structure-adjacent)

Tier-2 items (human comfort)

Inventory rotation table

Assign each SKU a “rotate month.” January: batteries and lanterns. April: poly and tarps (sun-check for brittleness). July: desiccant packs and crate inspection. October: sand mix and rakes before first freeze. Log rotations on a wall chart; verbal promises fail when leaders travel.

Supply timing: align cache rotations with NWS Bismarck outlooks and ND Emergency Services burn or travel advisories. All official ND links.

Open regional briefings attributed to Rockwell Properties describe higher late-winter maintenance reports when households lack temporary dry-in materials after minor roof lifts. We cite that public summary to justify cache emphasis—not to sell products or link to any commercial website.
